16/6/2008Glasgow Speedway Study Support Centre vists St Martha's Primary
First stop for the mobile Study Support Centre was to St Martha’s Primary in Springburn. The usual duo of Glasgow Speedway Riders Robert Ksiezak and Trent Leverington were joined by new boys Josh Grajczonek and Mitchell Davey while injured captain Shane Parker up in holiday in Scotland for the kids mid term also came along to show the youngsters how it was done.
The children were introduced to speedway using DVd and powerpoint, had a shot on Robert's Bike, learned how to take digital photos and then were involved in a question and answer session with Trent and Robert.
Brian and Cheryl Logan from Cowal Media also dropped in and took the children through an interview session live on camera with Shane and Mitchell. Thanks to all the riders, Brian, Cheryl and Fraser MacDondal of FSM Outdoor Advertising for giving up their time.Next part is Sunday where Josh has been set up to be interviewed by the kids. This will be used in the school radio station.I am one of the kids who did this. It was a kk to have met the drivers. We had a rad time.
